Rainfall Forecasting

Using Application Programming Interfaces, rainfall forecast for Uganda is called from Global Forecast System and ICON servers, then downscaled statistically for generation of meaningful information products

Hydrologic Modelling

This is done by use of conceptual, empirical and physically based models to transform rainfall forecasts into river discharge predictions that drive reliable flood early warnings.

Hydraulic Modelling

By leveraging existing and innovative modelling software and platforms, we simulate river and floodplain flows to accurately predict flood extent, depth, and velocity under different rainfall scenarios.

GIS Analysis and Mapping

By use of GIS software, we translate flood model outputs into clear, actionable maps of flood extent, depth, and risk.

Vulnerability Risk Mapping

We employ existing datasets to produce vulnerability risk maps that highlight people, infrastructure, and livelihoods most at risk from flooding.
